By the way
Sarah: how was your week?
Me: fine, but my RSI is getting me down, and I guess I'm just feeling generally bad about being single.
Sarah: ah, yes, well, coupled up friends do have less time for single friends, that's just the way it is.
*Knock at the door*
Sarah: Hello, you! *Smooch*
Richard enters.
Sarah devotes all her attention to him, and Gemma eats her tea at kitchen table in silence, gloomily.
More gloom
Le gloom is very much here. Not only do I have RSI (too much web surfing at the weekend, methinks) but also I'm bored, miserable, grumpy and generally in an upset mood. Feeling generally rejected and paranoid about everything. Wishing I were anywhere but at work most of the time. The most exciting thing that happened at work today was that Facebook is now working. This was exciting for about half an hour. The second most exciting thing is that I'm supposed to be going round to Amber's post-rowing. The third most exciting thing is... is... is...
The gloom is the usual reason, actually. It's about le garcon qui ne sait pas de mon existance. At least, in no real, tangible sense. At least, in no sense that I'd like him to be aware of moi. At least, he perhaps is aware that I am aware of him in that sense, and is most likely ignoring me. This is crapitty crap crap, and is making me so depressed at work that all I seem be doing is floating from kitchen to photocopier to desk and getting annoyed and feeling sad. Perhaps it's time for me to go on prozac or similar.
The second reason for the gloom, well, it's about Doctor Who. And Catherine Tate. And the fact she's next series' full time companion. Oh yes. Full time. All thirteen episodes. As Donna, The Runaway Bride. I enjoyed the Christmas episode as much as anyone, but it was a one-off, people! You can't bring her back! But they are going to. Indeed, they have done. And so I'm having to bite my tongue and just think good thoughts, trust Mr. Russell T. Davies, and hope it all turns out alright in the end. Because, let's face it, he's come up with better things than I could have imagined for this series (getting a bit worried about my imagination, actually) and so I should trust him.
The third reason for gloom? Probably it's about the not-writing. And the crap weather. I think I need to go home, have a little cry, and then go to rowing.
This was supposed to cheer me up, but I've depressed myself again. Ah crapitty crap crap.
